Brad White an amazing local artist whose main subjects are pagan and hedonistic figures will be exhibiting his artworks at the Expo in May under the name Pandemos Art .
Definitely not for the puritanical this art is about getting back to nature, the harmony and beauty of the natural form of the naked human body and his artworks are filled with reminders to reconnect on so many levels. Look carefully at Brad’s paintings and you will see a plethora of natural beauty from the flowers included on the canvas right down to the smallest of creatures hiding in the forests in which his nudes frolick.
Inherent in each piece is a deep sense of reconnection with ourselves as humans first and with our roots as one of earths native creatures, walking in balance with all other entities on this planet Earth, our home.
Come revel in the art of this heart based artist, come remember and reconnect with your essence.
Pandemos Art will be giving away limited edition mugs every hour during the Expo so those who sign up for their news list and announcements will be made from the stage of the winners.
About Brad:
Brad White was born in 1950 in Christchurch, New Zealand.
He spent his early childhood in the highlands of New Guinea, where at the age of 3 he lost his mother. The family returned to New Zealand in 1954.
In 2000 Brad was remarried to Deanne who had been a friend for many years, then in 2001 they moved to Australia to help improve Brad’s health.
After a span of years of reoccurrence of illness due to chemical poisoning where Brad was unable to produce any art. An improvement in health found him back in the work force until 2005 when his employment dissolved. It was only then that he considered taking up the paint brush seriously again, but although he was back in the studio nothing was produced as he was disillusioned with his work. He could not paint what he thought might be marketable and what may be acceptable by the general public.
Deanne encouraged Brad to get back into the studio and paint whatever he wanted to paint. Quote from Deanne “He was always contented with a paintbrush in his hand” “ I just wanted that man back”
With his growing belief in the importance of reconnecting with nature, and his decision a few years ago to follow the old religion. Brad has decided to paint what to him speaks of the connection between Nature the devine and us. As express by the old Myths and Legends, and the re-imergence of the ancient gods and goddesses.
He believes that in returning to Nature we must also accept our part in nature and that included re-evaluating our attitudes towards the human body.
PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU ARE CONCERNED WITH NUDITY – Pandemos Art will be in Booth #24 at the top end of the first room of the Expo against the upper wall.
