The Sunshine Coast Healthy Lifestyle Expo is expanding and as usual turning into more of a spectacular than an expo, with the Australian Electric Vehicle Association bringing a display of electric conversion exhibits to the Expo in 2014, which will set a new precedent for sustainability solutions showcased at a health expo.
Add to this the solar generated laser light shows from Solar Laser Productions which will run at regular intervals during the Expo, and light up the Main Stage for the closing ceremony this years event will not only education it will entertain the visitors who come to the Expo. “Edutainment we are calling it,” stated Annie Infinite, one of the events co-ordinators with a grin, “After all who wants to come to an ordinary trade show these days? Our Expo has never been a trade show, it has always focused on education and definitely adding some fun, interactivity and laughter to the mix and every year we turn it up a notch.
The ultimate electric car
This year we will not only have the laser light show and the electric cars including a Tesla Roadster coming, we will have a 3 ring circus happening with regular cooking and healthy food demonstrations over the road from the Events Centre in the kitchens of the CCSA Hall in Nutely Street, including a cook up by the amazing Chef Matt Golinski.”
Wayne Pina Roozemond the Expo’s other co-ordinator mentioned that the closing ceremony would be another entertainment event at the Expo, with the Gubbi Gubbi Dance troupe combining their talents with the Laser Light show to create a truly spectacular close to the event. “We envision the lights will create patterns in the paint as the dancers, didgeridoo players and drummers are on stage to create an amazing not to be missed closing ceremony,” said Wayne.
This dynamic duo have now organised 3 Expo’s on the Sunshine Coast which are gaining international recognition, including catching the eye of the huge ‘Food Matters’ organisation which have asked to show a few of the range of Food Matters movies at the Expo too. Wayne and Annie have a huge vision and are now opening their own Wellness Centre in the heart of Maroochydore called Pathways Wellness Centre as well as organising the Expo allowing people to experience first hand their famous balanced approach to health and healing.
